Thanks to their ductility and good response to surface treatments, these steels are widely used in the automotive and domestic appliance industries, as well as in the fabrication of small metal parts and in applications which require a high throughput and mechanical reliability.
C35B2 steel
An unalloyed carbon steel with good workability and moderate mechanical characteristics. Used for mechanical components subject to moderate stress, it is well suited to cold working applications like forging
34Cr4 - 1.7033 steel
A chrome alloy steel, hardenable, with good tensile strength and tenacity. Used for shafts, gears, pivot pins and part subject to dynamic loads. Suited to heat treatments like hardening/tempering and hardening.
36CrB4 - 1.7077 steel
A boron-chrome steel with excellent hardenability and good resistance to wear. Ideal for highly stressed mechanical components like springs, bars and transmission components.
38Cr2 - 1.7003 steel
A chrome alloy steel with good hardenability and tensile strength. Used for shafts, bushings and parts subject to moderate wear. Can be heat treated to improve its surface hardness.
37Cr4 - 1.7034 steel
A chrome alloy steel with characteristics similar to 34Cr4 but with a higher carbon content, which improves its tensile strength. Used in general purpose mechanical applications and components subjected to torsional loads.
38CrB1KB steel
A boron-chrome steel with excellent hardenability and good workability. Ideal for fabricating cold forged or drawn components like fasteners and high tensile strength pivot pins.
38CrMoB1 steel
A chrome-molybdenum-boron steel with very high tensile strength and excellent hardenability. Used for critical applications which demand excellent mechanical specifications and resistance to wear.
41Cr4 - 1.7035 steel
A chrome alloy steel with good hardenability and resistance to fatigue. Used for engine shafts, gears and parts subject to cyclic loading. Its mechanical properties can be improved by hardening and tempering.
45B2 - 1.5513 steel
A carbon steel alloyed with boron to improve its hardenability. Used for mechanical components subject to heavy loads like axles, tie-rods and transmission components.
